ALLIED MEDIA CONFERENCE ZINE-MAKERS MEETUP

Maamoul Press presented a Zine-Makers Meetup at the 2020 virtual Allied Media Conference.
Zine-makers of all experience levels were invited to come together in a session to share resources, discuss experiences, and brainstorm for the future of our practices. Through facilitated discussions related to both the challenges and power of telling our own stories, by us, for us, through zines, the aim was for participants to leave stronger together as a zine-making community.
The session consisted of four break-out groups discussing different aspects of zine-making, in two consecutive rounds to give participants the opportunity to join a different group in each round:

Collaborative Zine-Making – Led by Nadia Shammas
Print & Production – Led by Aya Krisht
Distribution – Led by Leila Abdelrazaq
