“In the intimacy of the epistolary form, Jehad Abu Dayya and Esraa el-Banna model what writing as and in survival might truly look like. To read these words, alongside the starkly stunning illustrations by Esraa, is to be confronted with the range of emotional, spiritual, and intellectual truths held and holding Gazans each day as the world continues to produce their annihilation.”
— Fargo Nissim Tbakhi, author of TERROR COUNTER
“Even amid the intimacies of survival and the desire to continue writing, these letters ask: “What awaits us after all this?” These letters do not offer resolve. They ask instead what writing can hold when life has been broken in the midst of the zionist death machine, and whether remembrance is ever enough.”
— Noor Hindi, author of Dear God. Dear Bones. Dear Yellow.
